Product Designer

Product Designer

Rising Team is looking for a creative and talented product designer to help design new products and tools that will empower managers to build more engaged, connected, successful teams. This will be an exciting opportunity to contribute at an early stage start-up, learn a tremendous amount, and grow quickly with excellent coaching and collaboration.

As one of the early designers at Rising Team, you will serve a vital role and be involved in the full product development process; from brainstorming the next big idea, to creating the vision for new features, to tweaking pixels right before launch. We appreciate designers who are constantly curious, think deeply, have a bias for action, and embrace collaboration and feedback.

What You'll Do:

  • Understand our mission and our customers
  • Use your full range of product thinking, user research, interaction and visual design skills
  • Partner with the product and engineering teams to design user experiences from conception to launch and iteration
  • Participate in concept development and design explorations to help define the future product direction
  • Participate in cross-functional brainstorms, discussions, and design reviews
  • Create product prototypes for user research and validation
  • Help evolve and extend the existing design language and design system
  • Contribute to a fun and empowering team culture

What You'll Need:

  • Portfolio featuring examples of cross-platform interaction design work that demonstrates your problem solving process and design solutions and a strong sense of design fundamentals
  • Bias towards taking action, ability to design and iterate quickly and efficiently in a dynamic setting
  • Ready to pitch in on a wide range of design issues—product, user experience, interaction, visual, user research—whatever it takes to ship the ultimate user experience
  • Flexible attitude and willingness to jump in, learn new things, and grow
  • Interest in conducting user research, prior experience a plus
  • Familiarity with design tools, such as Figma, Adobe products, and Principle
  • Experience building out a design system a plus
  • Excitement about transforming the workplace through better managers
